Warsaw New York Family Photos : Merrill

Meet the Merrills!! Greg is my husband's brother.  Greg is married to Jess and they have 3 awesome kids - Josh, Benny and Kaylee.

Greg is a talented plumber and volunteer fireman.  Jess is a talented seamstress (be on the lookout for a handmade quilt this spring appearing in photos!) and one of my dearest friends.  Josh is an amazing pitcher and is a Redskins fan (only one in the family I have been able to sway!).  Benny has won lots of wrestling tournaments and is a die hard Giants fan.  Kaylee is my little princess - if I ever have a daughter, I want her to be just like her!!

It had been a few years since I had taken pictures for them, so while we were visiting for Thanksgiving we decided to update the family photos.  We were originally going to go to a park by their house but on our way there I saw some property (which just happens to belong to Jessica's uncle) with an old general store, a few barns and a broken down bread truck so we decided to shoot there instead.  It was snowing during our shoot and without a doubt the coldest shoot this Maryland girl has ever done.  It was so cold that the snow on the ground kept sticking to the bottom of Kaylee's shoes and at the end she had 3 inch platforms! HA! Despite the cold we got some awesome pictures.  Thank you Merrill family for braving the cold for me! Hope you enjoy them!!

PARTY: Matthew

I had the privilege of taking pictures at Matthew's 1st Birthday party!  This little guy is so cute and is an absolute joy to photograph - it is always fun when kids LOVE the camera!! I got to the party early to get some shots of Matthew, Sam and Samantha before the guests arrived.  

I wish I could have video taped what happened when it was time to eat the cake.  Matthew tasted a little bit of icing, then offered some to Mom then Dad before digging in.  It was absolutely adorable.  I have never seen someone eat cake the way he did.  He was LOVING it.  

It was such a fun party and I was honored to be a part of it.  Thank you Sam and Samantha for letting me capture the day for you!  You both are fantastic parents and have been blessed with such a sweet child.  Here are my favorites from your day!!
